A friendly counselling service based in the North East of England offering new and refreshing approaches to mental health and wellbeing. We recognise that many people avoid seeking help due to judgement, doubt, pride or fear, so if you are reading this...you are doing great! We use techniques that will unmuddle your mind, reduce anxiety and help change unwanted negative behaviours and thoughts. Counselling techniques used include talk therapy which is a humanistic person centred approach or cognitive behaviour therapy commonly known as CBT. We often mix the two to suit the client needs and this is called an intergrated approach. Our aim is to listen and understand the root of the problem causing concern, anxiety, depression, low mood, fear or panic. We work with you so that you can think and see clearly, recognise links to triggers, change negative thoughts and behaviour and gain effective coping strategies to remove fear and panic. Our talk therapy is available in a private setting face to face, on the telephone or online through googlemeet. We also offer walk and talk in the outdoors or incorporate relaxation or creative art therapy. Please take a look at the variety of services that we offer.
We treat adults and children. Your mental health may include suffering with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobia, paranoia, issues with confidence, self image, identity, health or social interactions. You may have fears about the future or feel sad about your past. Issues may have arisen due to changes in your life such as work, relationships or loss. Our goal is to help you overcome your struggles and move you forward to where you want to be in your life. You will receive a consultation on your first session so that a treatment plan can be formulated. Services are confidential and available during evenings and weekends. You can have as many sessions as you feel you need. There are no long waiting lists, your sessions can start as soon as you and our counsellor are ready.
